Support the country you live in, or Live in the country you support

Illegal immigration has surged over the past decade. From Oct 2019 to June 2024 CBP logged nearly 11 million unauthorized border encounters — that's almost the entire population of North Carolina passing through illegally.

In FY 2022 alone, there were 2.8 million border encounters, topping the previous year and “gotaways” (those who actually slipped in) jumped from ~521k (2017–20) to over 1.5 million in 2021–2023.

Pew says the unauthorized immigrant population hit ~11 million in 2022, up from 10.5 m in 2021, reversing a decade-long decline but still short of the 2007 peak of 12.2 m.

My opinion in one sentence: a country without borders is no country.

The same folks on the left who howl about “stolen land” and colonialism…are now happy to let people just stroll in, unvetted, unaccountable, un-citizen-like. The inconsistency is hilarious.

The blunt political reality is; Democrats benefit from this. It's no conspiracy theory, they know illegal-immigrant-heavy communities skew blue. Elon Musk even called it “buying votes by looking the other way”

Politically, it's tactical. Enforcement slack becomes a recruitment pipeline. “We’ll delay enforcement, we’ll boost legal cover programs, we’ll expand state-level driver’s licenses and in-state tuition” — all while hoping those folks vote D later.

Yet there’s pushback even inside the Democratic party. Michigan’s Sen. Slotkin said Democrats are “scared” to offend progressive groups and that most Americans support legal immigration, not waving in whoever shows up.

To be 100% clear here, if you want to be an American.. I WANT you to be an American. We need more people not less. But you have to do it the legal way.

You can't start your life as an American citizen by first breaking the law. That just doesn't fly, and it doesn't fly in literally ANY country in the world.

Let’s rewind history:

  • Western Roman Empire collapsed after letting in entire tribes as “refugees.” They didn’t assimilate. They overran it.

  • Al-Andalus (Spain) was conquered and colonized for 700 years before Christians took it back. Not a peaceful multicultural utopia.

  • Ottoman Empire moved loyal populations into conquered lands to dilute local identity, classic “divide and rule.”

  • Partition of India killed over a million and displaced 15 million due to unchecked migration and religious demographics.

  • Lebanon welcomed Palestinian refugees… then imploded into civil war and became a Hezbollah-run failed state.

  • Sweden opened its borders in the 2000s. Ended up with grenade attacks, gang wars, and “no-go” zones.

  • South Africa let in migrants post-apartheid. Led to xenophobic riots and claims of “reverse colonization.”

  • Achaemenid Persia fell in part due to mass migration and internal fracturing; Alexander just delivered the final blow.

  • England under Longshanks (Edward I) flooded Scotland with loyalists and troops, tried to erase culture, and allegedly claimed jus primae noctis; the right to sleep with Scottish brides. Conquest by humiliation and demographic domination.

This isn’t a far-right rant. It’s historical pattern recognition: no borders, no governing framework, no country.

Politicians love phrases like “pathway to citizenship” & “comprehensive reform.” They love painting that picture ... BUT if your journey to citizenship starts with illegal entry, you’ve already broken the one rule that says you might deserve it.

It's like applying for a job after skipping the interview and then yelling that the employer is racist for not hiring you.

Look, I’m not saying don’t get help if you're fleeing violence. But if you're literally breaking the law to do it, then walking in sideways and expecting the system to welcome you, that’s on you. We have a process for a reason.

And it’s hypocritical as hell for the same people who demand "rigorous consent" for everything else to ignore border consent.

So yeah. Support the country you live in, or live in the country you support.

This isn’t just a policy debate. It’s about whether we’re still a nation… or just a place people show up to when their own collapses.

Because if laws don’t matter… and borders don’t matter… then nothing does.

And if we keep looking the other way, we’re not being generous. We’re being gutted.

By design.

In the end; Illegal immigration is reshaping America — and not for the better. From historical collapses to modern political tactics, this no-BS article breaks down how open borders destroy nations, and why looking the other way isn't compassion… it's suicide.
